Update Windows 7 Drivers – How Can I Keep My Drivers Updated Automatically?

Looking for an easy way to automatically update Windows 7 drivers? Some people think that using third-party software to update drivers is the easiest way to test and install the latest driver versions for their devices. But I’ll tell you in a free and very simple way: Windows Update Center.

Compared to Windows XP and Vista, Windows 7 has many significant improvements. It has many more features and is easier to use for PC users. The Windows Update Center has also been greatly improved. In addition to traditional system updates, it can now automatically find and install the latest driver versions for your devices. No need to spend half a day looking for one driver!

Now all you have to do is take the following steps to automatically update the drivers.

Step 1. Start windows Update Center.

Click the Start menu, then “Control Panel” and open the Windows Update Center.

Step 2. Check out the updates

In the open window, all you have to do is click on “Check for Updates.” It then automatically scans and checks for available updates for your system and device drivers. Wait a few minutes. Sometimes this process can take some time.

Step 3. Select Available Driver Updates.

Once the verification process is complete, you’ll be able to see the updates available to your system and drivers. You have to carefully choose which drivers to download. Then click “Set Updates” and Windows will automatically download and install selected updates.

Step 4. Reboot your computer.

Sometimes loading and installing can take a long time. Wait. Once the upgrade process is complete, restart your computer.

You can see that it takes only a few steps to automatically update your drivers with the Windows Update Center. This is a very good alternative to using third-party driver renewal programs. But compared to good drivers, the Windows Update Center lags behind for several reasons.

First, the download speed of the Windows Update Center is very low. Driver Update is a recently added feature in the Windows Update Center that is not a professional downloader. If you’ve never updated your system and drivers lately, it’s likely that it will take half a day to complete all updates.

Second, the driver database is updated over long periods of time, not every day. In other words, the intervals between the two updates can be very long, sometimes up to a month. So you can’t guarantee that you’ll get the latest driver versions for your devices. And if you install drivers for it, they’re probably “obsolete”!

As you can see, the Windows Update Center is a really good tool to help you automatically update your drivers. But it’s not a good tool to update drivers. It’s a good idea to use a higher-level driver update program to make sure you’re getting the latest driver versions.
